As with most content drops in first-person shooters, the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 introduced a host of new weapons for you to find and use. Some weapons are guaranteed to be found, like the incredible Rasetsu sniper rifle, while others are off the beaten path. One such weapon is hard to get if you’re not careful. Here’s how to get the Carmen Assault Rifle in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.

Where to Find the Carmen Assault Rifle in Cyberpunk 2077

To get the Carmen assault rifle, you’ll need to complete the side quest Balls to the Wall in Cyberpunk 2077. This is found directly in front of the Black Sapphire, the massive yellow skyscraper in Dogtown. Head into the area with the tents until you find both Paco and Babs hanging out in a tent. Speak with them, and you’ll go through a wild drug sequence where you learn why Paco is paranoid about his future.

I’ll let you explore the side quest for yourself, since it’s surprisingly fun and has a lot to it. Once you’re near the end, Paco and Babs will ask what they should do to fix their issue. In response, you want to say you’ll make a few calls, then text Panam and ask her to help smuggle the two of them out of the country. Tell them the good news, then wait a little while for a text from Paco. He’ll tell you that both he and Babs left you a gift in their tent. That gift is the Carmen assault rifle.

Is the Carmen Assault Rifle Worth Using?

The Carmen assault rifle boasts the following stats:

  • Attack Speed: 12.50
  • Damage: 20.14
  • Reload Speed: 1.65
  • Effective Range: 28.75
  • Weapon Handling: 7.04

Along with these stats, the weapon also boasts a 100% Headshot Damage Multiplier and 50% Armor Penetration. As for its special perk, it provides increased Crit Chance when shooting limbs. Weapon handling, damage, and Bleeding are also improved whenever doing fast movement such as running or sliding. This makes it a pretty reliable assault rifle and one I used for my full playthrough of Phantom Liberty. I highly suggest it.
