How to Get Thaumaturgic Dust in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

Some magic dusts for your shipments!

Thaumaturgic Dust is a new and exclusive material in Path of Exile’s 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur league. It is needed to upgrade your settlement, enchant gear, recombine gear, and more. In short, you’ll need lots of Thaumaturgic Dust, and here’s how to get them in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur.

How to Farm Thaumaturgic Dust in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

Thaumaturgic Dust is locked behind the rank 5 Recruitment upgrade in the town hall. You need to go through the ranks and get 900 gold, 60 Bismuth Ores, 35 Wheat, and 15 Pumpkins. You’ll need to upgrade your Mining and Farming plots to their required levels. Bismuth Ores are the 4th tier of ores, while Pumpkins are the 3rd tier of crops. All the upgrades align with each other, meaning you need to upgrade all plots at the same time to get every upgrade.

Once you have Recruitment rank 5, you’ll find Rog in the area between the town hall and the docks. You only need gold to set up the Disenchanting Station or Rog, the Disenchanter. Once you have this station unlocked, you can farm Thaumaturgic Dust by disenchanting items using Rog.

How to Disenchant Items in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

To disenchant items, you can go and interact with Rog and press “Disenchanting.” It will take you to a vendor window where you can place items for disenchanting. Items placed will have to be identified before you can place them.

The Thaumaturgic Dust value is proportional to the item level of the item. For example, an item level 72 Opal Sceptre gives 392 Thaumaturgic Dusts, while an item level 73 of the same base type and rarity gives 814 Thaumaturgic Dusts. That is a massive difference.

Update note: There are some instances where a lower item level with the same base type and rarity gave more Thaumaturgic Dusts. However, item level and rarity play a factor in giving more Thaumaturgic Dusts but the number seems random.

You can place all your unwanted items here to disenchant. You can hold down the “Alt” key while hovering on the item to check its item level. Collect and place the highest ones while farming in your maps.

These Thaumaturgic Dusts are mainly used for recombining, upgrades, and, more importantly, as a buffer for your shipments. If you are shipping items using the dock, you’ll place all your oversupplied materials in Kingsmarch. Once you have placed these materials, the shipment value will be tied to your expedition. If you add some Thaumaturgic Dusts to the shipment, it’ll be a multiplicative bonus to your total shipment value. However, if you put too much Thaumaturgic Dust, it won’t add up as much.
