How to Craft Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket

If you can't get them, craft them.

Some players, if not most, consider Pokemon TCG Pocket as more of a collecting card game than a competitive card game. The game has amazing sets and special art rares cards to collect, but it is going to be hard to collect every single one. Crafting them can be a good option to either get your favorite cards or complete a set and here’s how you can craft cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket with or without spending money

How to Earn Pack Points and Craft Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket

To craft cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket, you must first earn Pack Points, which is the currency for crafting cards.

How to Earn Pack Points

Pack Points are earned by opening packs, and if you are free-to-play, you essentially have one pack opening per day, excluding the rewards you get from quests and solo battles (Pack Hourglasses).

Each pack opening gives you 5 Pack Points, and the most common cards need 35 Pack Points to craft, while some stage 1 and 2 evolution cards push that value to 70, 150, or even 500 (for Ex’s). Secret art rares go for 400, 1,250, and 2,500, which is almost impossible to get even if you spend money. Take it easy here if you are spending money to open packs for these Pack Points, which is essentially the pity system. The game even limits you to 720 Rose Gold (premium currency) usage per day on opening packs.

You’ll have to open so many packs to get some rare cards. For free-to-play players, you’ll most likely use these Pack Points to craft cards to complete your deck rather than those cool-looking cards. A common Squirtle and secret art rare Squirtle are still Squirtles, right?

How to Craft Cards Using Pack Points

To open up the crafting menu, you must go to the pack opening page by tapping the booster packs on the home page. It’ll take you to the pack opening page and there will be a tiny icon on the lower-right corner of your phone that leads to the Pack Points Exchange. Tap the button as seen in the image above. It’ll open the whole list of cards for the collection, and you can craft every card available, except for promo cards.

Remember, you can always reroll your account until you get a cool Pokemon on your first pack opening and start the game in the best way possible. If you don’t know which pack to choose, maybe this will help you make an informed decision.
