How to Get Shiny Togetic in Pokemon GO
Togetic is literally known as the Happiness Pokemon, and what makes a trainer happier than seeing a Pokemon Shiny? Even Togekiss and its family, which are all vaguely similar shades of beige. It’s the prestige that counts, right?
But actually getting a Shiny Togekiss can be quite difficult. Togepi can be obtained from 2 km Eggs, and Togetics can be encountered in Raids. Those Togetic-themed raids happen to occur most frequently in Spring, around Easter, which makes sense for the egg-themed Pokemon.
Fortunately, for Shiny Togetic hunters, there’s a raid around the corner. On April 15, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, Togetic will be in the Community Day Spotlight. For trainers, that means that Togekiss will be a Community Day Special Research reward. Trainers will have a chance to encounter 5 Togetics while taking photos as a Photobomb Encounter. 2 km eggs obtained during this timeframe will also be much more likely to be Togepis with boosted Shiny odds. During this event, Egg walking distance will also be reduced by 25%.

But even better, from April 15, 5 PM – 10 PM, Togetic will appear in 4-Star Raids. Once that raid is completed, Togetic will begin appearing around that Gym and Raid for 30 minutes. So, don’t despair if the Raid didn’t happen to have a Shiny Togetic in it. You can further boost your odds by using a Lure or Daily Incense while beside the defeated raid point.
If you intend to use Togetic or Togekiss in PvP or Raid battles, it’s a good idea to evolve Togetic from 2 PM to 10 PM on April 15. Doing so will ensure that Togetic will learn Aura Sphere, a powerful fighting move.
