How to Get Second Seal in Fire Emblem Engage

Fire Emblem is a franchise that truly allows you to experiment and optimize your battle experience, offering ample class-choices, skills, and weapon proficiencies. And one of the most important things you’ll ever do with your Units is change their base class from one to another. Doing so requires a Second Seal. But if you’ve played through the early chapters and still haven’t laid sight on one, don’t worry. Here’s how to get a Second Seal in Fire Emblem Engage.

How to Get Second Seal in Fire Emblem Engage

If you haven’t stumbled across a Second Seal yet, don’t worry. Your game isn’t glitched and you aren’t just spectacularly unlucky. There are only a handful of ways to get Second Seals and most of them trigger about mid-way through.

Here are all the ways you can obtain them:

• By completing optional Paralogue missions
• During shop restocks
• By permanently unlocking them at Somniel’s item shop after Chapter 18

The first option, Paralogue mission, doesn’t guarantee Second Seals, but there is a chance you’ll stumble across them. You’re better off just waiting for the Item Store to have them in stock. If you’re curious when these items will be in stock, head to the Somniel between every battle.

Open the map while you’re at the Somniel and you’ll see in the top left corner a list of notifications. If the item shop has recently restocked, it will say so. This can happen as early as Chapter 13, and it’s a good idea to buy as many Second Seals as is within your budget, as you’ll need to get through five more Chapters before they become permanently available.
