The main hook of Schedule 1 is building your drug empire and making a lot of money in the process. Turns out that crime does pay — and quite well, actually. But sometimes, you might just want to play it straight and earn a few dollars the old-fashioned way.

If you’re looking for ways to make a decent chunk of change without breaking the law, this guide covers several methods to earn money legally in Schedule 1.

Make Money in Schedule 1 Without Selling Drugs

There are a few ways to make money in Schedule 1 without selling a single bag of green. These methods might not make you the most money, but if you need some quick cash or want to try your luck for some high rewards, it’s hard to go wrong with these.

Hit the Slot Machines

After you’ve secured a steady income from selling drugs, you might be tempted to splurge on a sports car with limited trunk space or a gold watch at the new Boutique. I have a better suggestion: why not spend your hard-earned drug money at the casino?

It might sound counterintuitive since we all know the house always wins, but what if you bet the smallest amount? What if Schedule 1’s slot machines are just a little broken and quietly feed into your dormant desire to gamble? Either way, you get to make some cash for a small investment.

Head over to the Casino in Hyland Point and go straight to the slot machines. Ignore everything else because we don’t want to think; we want to play. Set the value of all five slot machines to $10 and pull the lever. You’re losing $50 per pull from all five, but you can make $1000 if you hit a jackpot on any one of these.

For reference, I walked in with $925 and was at $2050 after a minute and a half of playing slots. Imagine how much you can make if you spend an hour at the slot machines. Now, obviously, you can lose a lot of money, too, but the odds don’t favor it. Don’t go overboard with setting a higher betting value, and stick to $10.

3 Sevens (Jackpot)100X

You can easily make up to $100K if you get lucky, so it’s worth it. I recommend walking in with around $4000 to $5000, so you don’t feel bad if you hit a losing streak. Just make sure it’s actual cash, not credit.

Sell Your Stuff at the Pawnshop

As you grow your empire, you’ll end up buying a lot of things that eventually become useless. Before version 0.3.4, the only way to get rid of them was by discarding them from your inventory. That’s no longer the case, as TVGS has added a fully functional Pawnshop to Schedule 1. You can now sell practically anything to Mick, the owner of the Pawnshop, as long as it’s not a product

You can haggle with him, as you should, and as long you don’t make him lose his temper, Mick will give you cash for all the junk stuff you can bring him. Just be aware of the store’s operating hours and plan your trips to the well-dressed gentleman accordingly. This way, you’re not losing money for the things you bought and are making some form of return.

Clean the Streets of Hyland Point

Hyland Point might be a bustling town with plenty to do, but it’s also filthy. You can find trash every five steps, and I’m not sure if the residents know what a trash can even is.

You’ll find empty soda cans, cigarette buds, bottles, and even a crack pipe if you’re lucky. Picking up each piece of trash is annoying, but you can buy a Trash Grabber, which makes collecting trash quite enjoyable.

Buy more than one Trash Grabber, fill their buckets, and deposit the trash at the Cash for Trash machines all across town.

You can make hundreds of dollars after just a few minutes of collecting and depositing trash. It’s a nice change from breaking the law and negatively influencing the lives of Hyland Point’s residents. Sometimes, you just want to give back to the community, and what’s so wrong with making a bit of cash while doing it? It’s the thought that counts.

Schedule 1 is still in early access, and I expect even more activities to be added throughout its planned two-year development period. TVGS has consistently released updates that feature new businesses to keep things fresh outside of your drug-dealing activities.
