How to Get Flamigo in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

If you want to psychologically ruin your enemies, beat them with a lawn ornament

Have you ever wanted a bright pink lawn ornament on your team? Like, one of those tacky flamingos people jab into their lawns in Florida, as if they won’t get whipped away in the annual hurricane? Yeah, me too. That’s why I made it my life’s mission to get my hands on one of the most cartoonish Pokemon the Paldea region has to offer: Flamigo.

Yeah, Flamigo. One letter short from Flamingo. No one said every name has to be brilliant.

Not only does Flamigo have a ridiculous name, but it also seems to be part balloon animal, as it ties the base of its neck into a knot in order to keep its power from escaping from its stomach and into its beak. How does it breathe, you might ask? Who knows? That’s the mystique and allure of Flamigo. Here’s how to get it in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Flamigo, based on its ridiculous Pokedex description, appearance, and name, sounds like it’d be extremely easy to find, right? Something this silly must exist in droves. And yet, it’s actually a Pokemon that’s kinda difficult to find. But no matter what version you have, you should still be able to locate it with enough hunting.

Flamigo isn’t a Water-type (it’s actually somehow a Fighting and Flying type), but like its real-world counterpart, it’s still drawn to water. Thus you can find it around Casseroya Lake and The Great Crater of Paldea. But there’s also a chance to find it in biomes with rivers, swamps, and lakes. Flamigo has a semi-low spawn rate, so you might be searching for quite some time. But this balloon animal bird is worth it, right?
