There is no shortage of extremely rare crafting materials in Final Fantasy 16. And Electrum might be one of the rarest, requiring you to step off the main story path. Here’s how to get Electrum in Final Fantasy 16.
How to Get Electrum in Final Fantasy 16 (FFXVI)
If you’ve completed Blacksmith Blue’s, you might have been thrilled to find that you’ve gotten the recipe for the exceptionally useful Drakeslayer Belt. But there’s one catch – you’ll need quite a few rare ingredients to cobble it together. Including Electrum, a material that can only be found in one place.
To get Electrum in Final Fantasy 16, you’re going to need to defeat the Fallen automata Severian. This is the only monster this crafting material drops from.
Severian is a one-of-a-kind monster, which has left the Fallen ruins and start terrorizing the countryside. And for that reason, it’s earned its place as a Notorious Mark on the Hunt Board in the Hideaway.
If you don’t see Severian on the Hunt Board, it likely means that you haven’t moved far enough through the main story. Get to the main story quest “After the Storm” and a new set of Hunt Board targets will unlock.

To find Severian, you’ll need to go to the Imperial Province of Rosaria, near Martha’s Rest. There, you’ll find Severian wandering to the north side of Sorrowise, near the Fallen ruins. Once you get close to its location, a cutscene will play.

Severian is a tough monster, like all Notorious Marks. Expect it to use the same moves you’ve seen other Fallen enemies use. But once you defeat it, you’ll get Electrum.
