How to Farm Charcoal in Palworld

Players can get Charcoal by crafting it with two Wood in either a Primitive Furnace, Improved Furnace, or an Electric Furnace. It is the same requirement with any of the furnaces, but players will be able to build the Primitive Furnace first.

The Primitive Furnace can be unlocked at level 10 from the Technology menu, while the Improved Furnace is at level 24 and the Electric Furnace at level 44. The Primitive Furnace can be found in the Production tab of the build menu, and requires 20 Wood, 50 Stone, and three Flame Organs.

Any of the furnaces also requires a Pal that has the Kindling trait, the fire icon in the Pal’s detail menu. Players cannot craft the Charcoal themselves.

One piece of Charcoal only needs two Wood, which can be acquired by picking sticks off the ground or chopping down trees with an axe. Wood is very plentiful early on thanks to all the forests in the starting area.

How to Use Charcoal in Palworld

Charcoal can be used for a variety of other resources in Palworld. Carbon Fiber is one of the most important resources that can be crafted with Charcoal, though it cannot be crafted until players build a Production Line Factory.

Other uses for Charcoal include Gunpowder, Electric Kitchen, Heater, and the Fireplace Set. Gunpowder is especially important for those who carry any type of gun, as gunpowder is required to make various types of ammo for pistols, shotguns, and assault rifles.
