How to Get Brute Force in Starfield

All it takes is a little brute force!

With Starfield’s sheer number of unique weapons, including handguns, shotguns, and rifles, you’d think too few would stand out. Thankfully, each is unique in its own way, from how you acquire them to their unique effects. Brute Force is in the former camp. It’s a fun side quest to acquire this unique shotgun, so that’s something. Here is how to get Brute Force in Starfield.

Where to Get Brute Force in Starfield

To get Brute Force in Starfield, you must complete “Run the Red Mile,” a lengthy and challenging quest on Porrima III. Thankfully, you must only finish the run once. But if you complete the Red Mile an additional 28 times, another unique weapon awaits you.

The Red Mile is an exciting side quest, a bit off the beaten path, but it reminds me of something Han Solo would tackle in his spare time. If you don’t mind a bit of illicit activities in a bar filled with thugs, then hey, tackle this one for a free shotgun.

Brute Force Stats and Details

Brute Force, like most video game shotguns, excels in close-range encounters. It deals a ton of damage, which scales further with Ballistics and Shotgun Certification, to make this an absolute powerhouse in tight corridors and small rooms. So, if you can look past most of its other stats and poor unique effect, Brute Force serves its purpose and then some.

How often do you use melee in Starfield? Even worse, how often do you use the weapon-bashing mechanic? I have multiple playthroughs under my belt, a few hundred hours in total, and I’ve never once used bashing. Hey, if you’re into that, more power to you, but personally, it feels like a waste of a good boon!

If you desire a unique weapon that fires a touch faster, I recommend I recommend getting Fury in Starfield.
