How to Get Bloodhound’s Fangs in Elden Ring

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

The Bloodhound’s Fang is a curved Greatsword in Elden Ring. It scales with Strength and Dexterity, making it a solid option for hybrid melee builds. The real standout feature of the weapon is the weapon skill Bloodhound Finesses, a swirling attack that ends with a backward flip, generating distance between the player and the target.

Where to find the Bloodhound’s Fang

The Bloodhound’s Fang is dropped by Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, who can be found at the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in Limgrave. Players will need to find the Bloodhound Knight to get their hands on the Blaidd armor set in Elden Ring.

The Forlorn Hound Evergaol can be found to the south of Limgrave, just before players arrive on the Bridge on Sacrifice that leads to the southern island. As with all Evergaols, players can interact with the purple circle in the center to enter, then face the Bloodhound Knight Darriwil.

This boss is fast, reminiscent of Dancer enemies from Dark Souls 3. He is also aggressive, constantly pressuring and probing with attacks. It is highly likely that players will arrive here too early. This makes sense when you consider that, thematically, the fight is balanced around the idea that players will have summoned Blaidd.

The good news is that it is pretty easy to strip his Poise if you can keep landing damage, so prepare to throw some knives from a distance, or perhaps even use a bow to pepper him between melee strikes to stop his Poise recovering. When you defeat the boss, you will receive the Bloodhound’s Fang.

This scales with a D in Strength and a C in Dexterity and requires an 18 in Strength and a 17 in Dexterity to wield. It’s a solid hybrid weapon that turns into a standout because of the Bloodhound’s Finesse skill. This does multiple swipes, then backflips your character to potential safety, depending on enemy reach.
