How to Get Black Site Keys in Warzone 2

Keys within keys.

Before loadout drops were added to Warzone 2 in the Season 1 Reloaded update, there were only a couple of ways to earn a full loadout within Al Mazrah, which was a far cry from the original battle royale. Black Site Keys happened to be one of the best ways to get your weapons and they are still available on the map.

Black Sites are very similar to Strongholds from DMZ, and you’ll even have to take one on to get to this point, but you’ll need keys within keys. It’s a multi-step process that can be hijacked by other enemy players at any point while enemy AI patrols the area. To make the process easier, we’ll cover each step you must take for the sites in Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 – How to Get Black Site Keys

Step one to finding one of these keys is to get a hold of another key. You’ll need to get a hold of the Stronghold Keys that were introduced in the battle royale as well as the DMZ mode. As the name suggests, these keys will allow players to access the Strongholds found around the map. There are only a few that spawn in each Warzone 2 match, unlike the DMZ which has them all over the place.

When you find a Stornhold in Warzone 2, you’ll still need to pick up a key to enter, and that can be done in a couple of ways. Either kill the AI around the Strongholds for a chance at a key dropping or attempt to buy a key at random Buy Stations around the map. Sometimes chests can also have Stronghold Keys, but it’s not a guarantee. With the key in hand, take down the enemies inside the building, defuse the bomb, and collect the loot.

Completing one of these Strongholds will provide you with a Blacksite Key that you can use on the map in Warzone 2. These are more dangerous versions of the Strongholds that are designated by the castle icon and other players can try to take you down as well. Upon success with the Blacksite, you can claim your loadout and move on with the match.
