Modern Warfare 3 is full of different weapon challenges for camos and weekly tasks, which include earning Barbones Kills at some point. If you want to quickly earn some new rewards, this guide will go over exactly what this challenge entails.

You must eliminate enemy players with a weapon that has no attachments to earn a Barebones Kills in Modern Warfare 3. As the name suggests, your weapon has to be completely bare for the challenge to start tracking eliminations. This can be done on any gun, so picking a weapon that is fantastic by default can be a significant advantage. I recommend using a gun like the MCW if you want to quickly get past the challenge.

Although Barebones Kills calls for a completely naked weapon, that doesn’t mean you can’t use any customization options. Having camos, weapon stickers, or charms on your guns won’t change their designation as bare for this challenge. Levels on the weapon also won’t come into play, so don’t worry about too much progress made in the gunsmith section. Just make sure that there are no attachments on the weapon, including any sights that you might otherwise use to hit your shots.

Those of you who are still trying to earn the Interstellar mastery camo will eventually need to start grinding out Barebones kills for full completion. Even if you’re already done with Interstellar, some of the Weekly challenges in MW3 can task players with the same challenges. But if you’ve been playing Call of Duty for long enough, these challenges will feel no different than they did back in the day as you chased some of the standard camos.

Another odd challenge tasks you with earning three kills using one mag and I have just the solution.
