Final Fantasy 14 has a plethora of different gear sets to collect. From raids to dungeons to the Gold Saucer, there is no shortage of sweet looks you can make for your Warrior of Light. With Patch 6.1 some new gear has been added for folks to make new glamours, and one of those sets is known as the Archfiend Attire. Here’s how to get it.
How to Get Archfiend Attire in FFXIV
With the recent 6.1 patch, one of the main focal points was reworking PvP in FFXIV. A total retooling of PvP skills for jobs, a new leveling system known as “Series Malmstones” and a brand-new game mode called Crystalline Conflict. In order to get the Archfiend Attire, you’ll need to hit level 25 in your Series Malmstone for this season.
Think of it as a battle pass, every match will earn you experience which in turn levels up your Series. As you level you’ll earn different rewards like Tower Crystals, emotes, and eventually, at level 25, the Archfiend Attire.
You can check your PvP profile at any time by clicking on the character menu at the bottom and selecting the PvP option. Once in this menu, you can click on your Series Malmstones to pull up your progress.
You don’t need to complete specific challenges or go on a special quest. You just need to play a ton of PvP to unlock it.
If you’re new and haven’t unlocked PvP yet you’ll need to talk to your Grand Company in whichever main city houses yours. Once you’ve hit level 30 you will unlock the quest called “A Pup No Longer.” This quest will take you to the Wolve’s Den, which is the premiere PvP spot in Eorzea. From here you’ll unlock all of the game modes like Frontlines and Rival Wings.
Once you’re all set for PvP simply queue up for a match in Duty Finder and you’ll be on your way to obtaining the Archfiend Attire.
