How to Get and Use N-Solarizer in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk

The power of the sun at the palm of your hand

A lot of old Legendary Pokemon made the cut and are back in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk DLC, and the same can be said about their extra forms. Necrozma can achieve one of them if it has the N-Solarizer, and here’s how you can get it.

Where to Find N-Solarizer in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

The N-Solarizer is available through the Porto Marinada Auction once you obtain Necrozma and Solgaleo in your boxes or in your party. You’re able to catch the Legendary Pokemon through the post-game Snackworth NPC’s mini-quests or by transferring it from Pokemon Home. If you have more than one Legendary that has a dedicated item, those can also appear in the item pool.

Examples are Pokemon like Deoxys or Kyurem, which also depend on special items to change their forms to unique ones. You won’t run into issues with getting the item to show up on the auction if Necrozma is your only Legendary, but if you have any other of these, you’ll have to wait until the next day for the items to change.

Alternatively, you can advance your Switch’s internal clock one day forward to reset the items until the N-Solarizer shows up. Once it does, get ready to load off your wallet as it can cost you your whole savings if you’re unlucky.

What Does the N-Solarizer Do in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

The N-Solarizer is used to transform Necrozma into Dusk Mane Necrozma when used with a Solgaleo in your party. It renders Solgaleo unavailable and Necrozma still uses its base stats and Nature, and the fusion continues until you use the item once again.

You can’t have two Dusk Mane Necrozmas in your party, but you can fuse a different Necrozma with Lunala to get Dawn Wings Necrozma if you have the appropriate item. Both can be used on the same team with no issues since the key item is different for both. Unfortunately, Kyurem isn’t treated the same way despite having a very similar mechanic.
