In The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle, you’ll use influence points to vote on neighborhood action plans to benefit your Sim and their town. You can support Green and Profitable N.A.Ps, which provide different perks depending on your goals. To gain influence points, you have to perform positive interactions in the community, particularly with other Sims. One of the easiest and most consistent ways is to invite a few Sims over and continue having friendly interactions, gaining influence as you continue speaking. You can also mentor and give gifts to boost influence.

If a Neighborhood Action Plan is already in place, you can also partake in various activities to gain influence. For example, if the fishing, gardening and handiness N.A.P. is in place, you can do one of these three activities to get some.

How to Spend Influence Points in The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle

There are a few ways to spend influence points in The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle. The first and most straightforward way is by voting for Neighborhood Actions Plans through your mailbox or any nearby N.A.P. board. From Friday morning until Monday evening, you can use your influence points to vote on an action plan that grants you temporary perks. Some benefits include influence rewards while skilling, pushing modern advancement in particular regions and reducing utility bills. For every point you spend, you need ten influence points.

You can also begin a petition to repeal any active plans using ten influence if there’s a particular one you want to remove from the board!

Another way to spend your influence is convincing other Sims to vote for an action plan. You can do this by selecting a Sim and picking “Convince to Support N.A.P”, followed by the plan you want them to support. This costs five influence, making it cheaper than you voting yourself, but it isn’t guaranteed to work.
