How to Purchase a Katana in BitLife

Purchasing a katana requires buying the Black Market expansion pack, entering the arms dealer menu, and searching through their wares until you see a katana. Once you find a katana, you must buy it and handle anyone who attempts to outbid you.

First, buy the Black Market expansion pack through the BitLife marketplace. It costs real money to purchase it, and Boss Mode does not include it.

Once you purchase the Black Market expansion, you’ll find the Black Market menu under Activities. This market includes options like jewel fencers, wildlife smugglers, and arms dealers. Pick the arms dealer and look through their weapons until you see a katana. Purchase it to either get it immediately or have someone interrupt the exchange.

Buying the Katana from the Arms Dealer

If someone interrupts you with a higher bid, you’ll have four options for handling the situation:

  1. Offer more money
  2. Threaten them
  3. Attack them
  4. Let it go

Letting it go results in losing the katana and restarting the process. The other three are risky in different ways; your option depends on how much you believe in your character not to get hurt or killed during the exchange.

For example, offering more money and winning the bidding war can lead to the other character attacking you. Similarly, attacking can lead to severe and potentially fatal consequences.

Sometimes, you may want to let the katana go if someone threatens you. Otherwise, you can take them on and risk some damage or threaten them and have the arms dealer kick the person out if their attitude toward you is high.

Regardless, expect to leave the situation with a slightly lower health bar and, ideally, a katana on hand.

How to Use a Katana in BitLife

Once you purchase a katana from the arms dealer, it’s time to use it. To find it, head into Assets, tap Belongings, and enter Weapons to find it. From here, you have several options:

  • Appraise
  • Discord
  • Donate
  • Gift
  • Play
  • Refurbish
  • Sell

If you’re curious whether you spent your hard-earned money on a fake or authentic katana, you can use appraisal to pay a small fee and learn its value. Otherwise, you can gift it to someone, play with it, or refurbish it to improve its condition.

Alternatively, you can display it in a museum or attack people. To attack someone with a katana, get into an argument with someone, such as a friend during conversations, a drunk person at a nightclub, or someone at the arms dealer. Choose to attack the person and pick the katana as your weapon to begin the fight. In most cases, you’ll either inflict severe damage or deal a fatal blow to them, which can land you in jail if the police catch you.

In other words, how you use it is entirely up to you. However, some actions have more serious consequences than others, so be careful with what you do!
