The Greatsword can be found in a chest on the top floor of Trevo Mine. This mine is located to the west of Vernworth and is on the main path you need to follow as you head toward the next section of Dragon’s Dogma 2. When you get close to Trevo Mine, there will be tons of Goblins that are defending the entrance, so it’s hard to miss the cave on the path. Just clear out all the enemies and head inside to start looking for the Greatsword.

Within Trevo Mine, there is a lower path and a higher path. The lower path will lead to the staff needed for the Sorcerer Vocation, so don’t head there just yet. Move to the top floor instead and look for a small room that has three different doorways. A chest will sit toward the center of the room that contains the Greatsword needed for the Warrior Vocation. This weapon is simply called the Two-Hander and your quest will be updated after you pick it up.

Now that you have the first Greatsword in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can head back to Vernworth and speak to the Vocations Guild about becoming a Warrior if that’s the path you want to take. You can also head to the Blacksmith in Vernworth or future settlements and simply buy another Greatsword or hammer. Once you unlock a Vocation within the game, earning additional weapons for that class should become much easier.

Don’t forget to change your Vocation once you have the weapon you need.
