How to Get a 3-Plate Armor Vest in MW3 Zombies

Full armor!

Urzikstan in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is full of potential danger in the higher tiers, so you’re going to need a 3-Plate Armor Vest for the best chance of survival. Getting one can take some additional effort, but luckily there are some great ways to obtain a vest.

Where to Get a 3-Plate Armor Vest in MW3 Zombies

You can purchase a 3-Plate Armor Vest for 10,000 Essence at any Tier 2 or Tier 3 Buy Station in MW3 Zombies. If you don’t have enough Essence to spend, then you can always take on Strongholds and search the Aether Chests for vests as well. Technically any chest can have a Legendary vest for you to grab, but Buy Stations or Strongholds are your best options.

At the time of this writing, rare loot like a 3-Plate Armor Vest and a Legendary Rucksack are hard to come by as random drops. You’re much better off saving enough Essence by completing Contracts around the map. After all, you can save the vest on your Operator when you extract, so it’s worth a quick trip for the armor vest alone.

For those of you who don’t want to rely on the Buy Station in MW3 Zombies, you can fight for the armor instead. Both the Infested and the Mercenary Strongholds will give you a handful of chests to open upon completion. Getting some Legendary equipment isn’t a guarantee in these chests, but your odds are much higher than a random toolbox on the side of the road.

In very rare cases, there should be a chance for equipment to drop from Reward Rifts at the end of a contract. However, the rewards from contracts are usually items like Aether Tools, perks, and schematics. You’re better off saving Essence or looking for Strongholds.

Check out my full guide on where to get schematics in MW3 Zombies so you can prepare outside of Urzikstan.
