How to Fuse Mothman with Agilao in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)

Just a burny lil' guy

Eventually, Elizabeth will ask you to make some weird fusions, such as Mothman with Agilao. Here’s how to fuse Mothman with Agilao in Persona 3 Reload.

How to Make Mothman with Agilao in Persona 3 Reload

Mothman is not immediately accessible as a fusion, but as you get the Vibrant Feather from a Floor Boss in Tartarus and go through 7/9, you unlock Request 35 – Fusion Series #3: Hermit, Mothman. While previous fusion requests were a breeze, you have a reasonable challenge on your hands this time.

Mothman doesn’t learn Agilao naturally, so you have to pass it down to him from other Persona. This involves the lengthy process of fusing Personas into lower-leveled ones until you get one of Mothman’s materials with the desired skill.

The easiest method I found was fusing Take-Minakata and Sati (who learns Agilao) into Legion. Then I fused Legion (with Agilao from Sati) with Baphomet, which resulted in Mothman. This was a very unorthodox way, but it was the first method I found for solving this puzzle.

Take-Minakata can be obtained from the early Yabbashah block floors in Tartarus (69 onward), while Sati is obtained by fusing Yamato-no-Orochi (also obtained in Yabbashah) with Zouchoten or Mithras. Take-Minakata + Sandman (from a few floors above Yabbashah) also results in Sati.

Baphomet can be obtained through Yamata-no-Orchi + Rakshasa. While it may be a heavy burden on your wallet, you can make almost all ingredients by simply buying older Personas again and again without much effort. He also gets available as a regular Persona drop in higher Tartarus floors (around 110)

With all of these lengthy fusions out of your way, summon the two required Personas execute a regular Dyad Fusion, and ensure that Mothman has Agilao. With that, you’re finally done with this request, which took me a while to figure out.

Alternatively, all of this can be solved if you get an Agilao Skill Card and use it on Mothman. But getting the card from random chests at Tartarus is not as easy as it sounds. You can eventually find it with some grinding, but I wouldn’t recommend actively searching for it, or it could take you forever.

Reward for Completing Request #35 in Persona 3 Reload

This time, your reward for completing the request is a maid outfit. If you’re one of the P3R players obsessed with maid outfits in the game, this is pretty much a W for you. Like all of the other similar outfits, this is cosmetic only. It will not provide you with any combat advantages whatsoever. You can add it to Mitsuru.

Completing this request will unlock the next Fusion Requests. There are lots of others incoming, but they’re thankfully easier to solve than this one was.
