Overwatch 2 is a competitive team-based FPS, meaning several things. For one, you must perform to the best of your ability to climb the competitive ladder. You’ll also need your team to perform to the best of their ability and work well with each other to conquer. This naturally requires communication. However, some have recently run into issues with the feature. Here’s how to fix the You Have Been Removed From Voice Chat error in Overwatch 2.
What is the You Have Been Removed From Voice Chat Error in Overwatch 2?
If you’ve run into this problem, chances are you’ve run into this pretty consistently. A common and quick fix is to restart your game, but this fix is only temporary and the issue crops back up almost immediately. This makes it frustrating to deal with, as it’s clear there’s something more than a simple bug occurring. Without the error name telling us much either, it’s hard to troubleshoot a fix without trying everything in the book.
Alas, we can narrow it down heavily for you. The You Have Been Removed From Voice Chat error tends to only occur when you experience heavy lag, hence why a restart only temporarily fixes it and it tends to return. As such, you’ll need to find some way to make your internet more stable. A simple router reset might fix the issue, as will switching over to an ethernet connection instead of wifi. Sometimes though, it can just be inconsistency from your internet service provider, and you may need to contact them.

While this isn’t a full-on guaranteed fix per se, we hope this at least sends you in the right direction. Internet lag can be frustrating (trust us, we run into it more than we’re willing to admit), but with some fixes, it can at least be remedied.
