How to Fix the Witness in the Dust Bug

Believe it or not, this isn’t a game bug. Witness in the Dust has strict requirements that many overlook when playing through Season 2 of Diablo 4. It’s important to note that to progress through and complete Witness in the Dust, you must finish both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the Seasonal Journey. It’s quite the grind, we know.

To reiterate, if you wish to unlock the chest at the end of Witness in the Dust, as it appears even if you’ve not yet completed the Seasonal Journey tasks, you must finish both chapters.

Once you’ve done this, please return to the chest and open it before tackling the boss in the Fetis Mausoleum.

How to Complete Chapter 2 of the Seasonal Journey

To finish Chapter 2 of the current Seasonal Journey in Diablo 4, you only need to complete 9 out of the 11 objectives. Most of them, especially this early in the season, prove relatively straightforward. The most challenging one is hitting level 25, which will come naturally as you play.

Otherwise, focus on finishing those Cellars and Strongholds, then work on obtaining Caches from the Tree of Whispers. Everything else is gravy!

That said, we do recommend focusing on the vampiric-themed challenges. They offer the most fun, what with the new enemies and events, and allow you to learn this season’s mechanics better. These challenges include:

  • Deliver Us From Evil: Rescue five villagers within the Blood Harvest.
  • Vampire No More: Defeat a Blood Seeker.
  • Tides of Blood: Activate a Vampiric Power that requires at least 3 Pacts.

It’s important to note that you must complete the campaign before tackling these challenges!

In the meantime, brush up on the game’s map to help you nail this season!
