Fury Against Fate Quest Bug in Diablo 4

How to Fix the Fury Against Fate Quest Bug in Diablo 4

Spooked by outside events

After progressing through Diablo 4’s main story and diving into its side quests, you’ll find a series in the Dry Steppes beginning with the Consumed by Pride quest and ending with Fury Against Fate. However, you may notice that you cannot progress once you arrive in Wasting Hollow and receive the “clear the cannibal feeding ground” task! Fortunately, I have some solutions here for you to try out. To learn more, continue reading to discover how to fix the Fury Against Fate quest bug in Diablo 4.

Fixing the Fury Against Fate Quest Event Bug in Diablo 4

The Fury Against Fate quest bug is caused by world events near the Wasting Hollow cave. If there is an ongoing event, the bug has a chance of activating, causing the quest NPCs to not go down into the feeding ground area. Instead, they’ll linger at the dungeon entrance, halting your progress.

To fix this bug, head out of the cave and complete the event before restarting your game and reentering the cave. Doing this allows you to talk to Ealda again to advance through the mission. Sometimes, you may have to abandon and restart the quest to reset the NPCs that are typically supposed to run down and help with the cannibals.

Alternatively, a recent Reddit discussion highlights another solution involving abandoning the quest and relogging until there is no event outside the cave. After you enter a world without an event, you can start the mission again and progress through the cave as intended. This is the solution I ended up using, and I eventually got the quest to work again, albeit after some odd mishaps.

Fortunately, once you retry the mission and progress past this point, you should complete the mission without any further issues. This particular bug only affects this one small portion, and I didn’t encounter any others afterwards.
