Resident Evil 4 Remake has finally arrived and many players are already enjoying the completely new take on Capcom’s legendary survival horror title. How to Fix the Flickering Lights Issue in Resident Evil 4 Remake on PS5

Flickering lights problem was noticed during the demo version of Resident Evil 4 Remake and is present now in the full version as well. Capcom is aware of this issue and has promised to solve it soon, probably through an upcoming patch – but until then, there are a couple of ways to get rid of this problem, at least temporarily.

The easiest way to solve the flickering lights problem in RE4 Remake is to simply restart the game. Pressing the PS button will return you to the dashboard where you can press the Options button on RE4 Remake icon and select CLOSE. After that, start the game again as usual, load your save file or resume from the quicksave, and you’ll continue where you left off without the flickering lights – until they randomly appear again.

One of the other solutions that seems to help is turning off the Depth of Field and Motion Blur effects – for more details, see our previously published article on how to optimize graphics settings in the Resident Evil 4 Remake PlayStation 5 version.

Anyway, this is just a temporary workaround solution until Capcom fixes this issue and we stop seeing these epilepsy-inducing Christmas-tree-like “effects” in Resident Evil 4 Remake on PlayStation 5.
