How to Complete the Marathon – From Beginning to End Task in Escape from Tarkov

To complete the Marathon – From Beginning to End task from Fence, you need to go through every single map, excluding Labs, in Escape from Tarkov. You have to finish the raids on Marathon Mode, which means you’ll always start on Ground Zero. Here’s the specific order you have to go through:

  1. Ground Zero
  2. Streets of Tarkov
  3. Interchange
  4. Customs
  5. Factory
  6. Woods
  7. Reserve
  8. Lighthouse
  9. Shoreline

Upon reaching Shoreline, you also have to survive and extract from the location, making it one of the hardest tasks in Escape from Tarkov. Dying in any raid on one of these maps will force you to restart from Ground Zero. This is reminiscent of “The Guide” quest but with the added Marathon touch to it.

The quest rewards a whopping 100,000 EXP, 400,000 Roubles, and a THICC Weapons Case. Getting any of these rewards is a big boost to your character’s progression, and seeing how this quest is acquired early in the wipe makes it even more important to finish fast.

Tips & Tricks to Finish the From Beginning to End Task

Beware of campers

There is no guarantee you’ll get the closest spawn to the nearest transit on each of the maps you run. The first and biggest hurdle is going through the first few maps, namely Ground Zero, Streets of Tarkov, Interchange, and Customs.

Some players might camp in these transit locations because many will be running Marathon mode and will run straight for these areas. In the later maps, not many players camp in the transit locations anymore because there are only a few tasks that require players to go to the farther maps, like Reserve and Lighthouse.

You want to pay extra close attention to campers on the first few maps, and it is best that you wait a few minutes after the transit opens up.

Bring five sets of food and water

This is going to be a 2-hour long journey, so you need to bring food and water to keep your energy and hydration up. You don’t want to rely on looting because you don’t want to risk your life to loot these items. Just bring them.

Pack as lightly as possible

While it is a long and grueling task, you want to be underweight. This is so that if you get a mediocre spawn point, you can still keep up and run to the transit location as fast as possible. There can’t be any campers if you are the first one there, right?
