How to Fast Travel in Windrose – Create Your Own Fast Travel Points
Who needs to sail when you can teleport?
While some of you might prefer to sail the seas in Windrose, fast traveling is still an option. It saves a lot of time, and the best part about it – you can literally set your own fast travel points.
Here’s a quick guide to fast travel, creating your own fast travel points, and general tips for traveling in Windrose.
How to Create a Fast Travel Point in Windrose

To fast travel, you must create at least two fast travel points first. Go to the build menu and go to the “Crafting and Utilities” category. Look for the Fast Travel Point under the utilities section. A Fast Travel Point requires 1x Fast Travel Bell and 20x Wood.
If you don’t have the recipe, it is automatically learned as soon as you get one Fast Travel Bell, which is easily found throughout the early quests. Once you have one, go to the workbench, and you will need 10x Copper Ingots and 3x Rope to craft a single piece. Luckily, you only need a level 1 workbench station for it, so you can set up some fast travel points early in the game.
Set up one Fast Travel Point in your base and another one elsewhere. You can only fast travel by going from point to point, and there can only be 10 fast travel points active at a time. If you want to travel instantly from anywhere to your base, you are going to use something different.
How to Teleport to Your Base in Windrose

To teleport directly to your base without any fast travel points, you must first set up a revival point at your base. Craft a bed or a tent and interact with it to set your respawn point. Next, you’ll need a Homeward Journey potion. The Homeward Journey potion is pretty straightforward – use it, and you’ll instantly teleport to your revival point.
You might have encountered one of these potions through plundering treasure from points of interest or as a quest reward. However, the Homeward Journey potion is actually craftable.
To craft a Homeward Journey potion, set up a Level 2 Alchemy Table first, which means you need both the Alchemy Table and the Stove and Pot in one bonfire. The Alchemy Table needs 5x Wood and 2x Clay Pot, while the Stove and Pot need 5x Stone, 5x Clay, and 1x Copper Pot.
Next, you’ll need to unlock the recipe. The Homeward Journey potion requires 3x Alchemical Base, 1x Rum Bottle, 5x Feather, and 1x Undead Essence.
You get the Alchemical Base from crafting Clay Bottles in the Alchemy Table. Rum Bottles are found along sailor camps (you also get one from fighting sailors in the main quest when rescuing sailors to get your crew) or pirates. Feathers drop from Azure Dodos and Undead Essence are from the Drowned enemies, which show up at night, and from specific quests like the Fifteen Men and a Dead Man’s Chest. The recipe should unlock once you have collected at least one of each resource (except Alchemical Base).
Rum Bottles should be the hardest to find, but once you start sailing and engaging in ship battles, they should be easier to find. Just use Homeward Journeys sparingly.
