How to Fast Travel in The Rogue Prince of Persia

Avoid those annoying spikes by fast traveling!

Looking to get back for some missing items, gear, and upgrades? In The Rogue Prince of Persia, you can fast travel back to certain key locations to either escape a dead end or return to a missed interactable. Since it is a side-scrolling roguelike, the playthrough is different every time, with some slight changes depending on progression. This means that fast travel locations are different per playthrough. Nevertheless, fast travel is still important, and here’s how you can teleport to previous locations in The Rogue Prince of Persia.

During your playthrough, you’ll encounter multiple Wells of Dreams along the way. These Wells of Dreams are your fast travel locations. These structures light up when you approach them, activating them for future use.

Once a Well of Dream is activated, you can continue forward and go on with your playthrough normally. When you reach a dead end, you cannot fast travel unless you reach another Well of Dream.

Luckily, the game is designed in a way where you find yourself at a dead end; there’s usually a Well of Dream next to it. Most of these dead ends aren’t really dead ends as they usually lead to a chest, blacksmith (to upgrade your weapons), or random items such as Medallions, Health boosts, and many others.

This side-scrolling platformer isn’t as linear as it may seem, but the fast travel helps you navigate more easily through a playthrough or run.

If you find yourself at a dead end and you go through various traps and obstacles, it is best to fast travel rather than to parkour back because you might lose some precious HP along the way.

It is important to discover these dead ends in your playthrough because it does increase your power, depending on what you find, as long as you don’t sacrifice much health. You might even find some extra healing or increase your max HP, which will push you over the top to beat those pesky bosses.

It is also worth noting that if you enter the next stage or area, you cannot fast travel back to a previous stage.
