There are a lot of resources to collect in Mirthwood, which means you’re going to need some pretty large pockets to fit them all in. The bag that you begin your adventure with, however, is pretty small. Thankfully, you are able to expand your inventory in Mirthwood. Here’s how.
How Do You Get a Bigger Bag in Mirthwood?
Mirthwood is filled with secrets to discover. One of those secrets is the small rainbow feathers you will find scattered about the world. These feathers can be collected and given to a strange man in the forest named Fernfoot. In exchange for your Fabled Feathers, Fernfoot expands your inventory. He can also unlock more Skill Slots, but we recommend focusing on increasing the size of your bag first.
You can find Fernfoot relaxing outside his cottage just over the bridge heading east out of Brightoak. To find him, head to Brightoak and cross the bridge on the right to reach the Old Forest. Head slightly south just after passing over the bridge to find Fernfoot leaning against a fence outside his cottage.
How to Increase Your Inventory in Mirthwood
To increase your inventory, head to Fernfoot’s Cottage and speak to him. Select Expand Inventory. You will then be given the choice of which section of your bag you would like to expand. Your bag is sorted into six sections:
Weapons, Armor, Materials, Food, Parts, and Potions. Choose which section you would like to expand and hand over eight Fabled Feathers to increase the size of your selected pocket. This will add one more row to that section of your bag.
What section of your bag you would like to expand will depend on you and your playstyle, but the best ones to focus on first are the Food and Materials sections. You chew through food extremely fast in the field in Mirthwood, and running out of it can be disastrous. On the other hand, collecting resources is extremely important for crafting purposes. Those parts of your bag are good places to start.
Where to Find Fabled Feathers in Mirthwood
Fabled Feathers are scattered all around the Free Lands in Mirthwood. You can find multiple feathers in every new region you explore, usually in some small crevice, tucked into a corner, or hidden around areas of interest like abandoned camps. Exploration is one of the most rewarding parts of Mirthwood, and Fabled Feathers are one of the main ways you will be rewarded.
There are hundreds of Fabled Feathers to find, but we’ve marked a few on this map to get you started!
