How to Evolve Nosepass in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The nose knows the way north (and the way to evolve).

Nosepass used to have a really annoying evolution method in older Pokémon games. Thankfully, that is no longer the case in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. If you’ve caught one of these north-facing nose rocks in The Teal Mask and need to evolve it, read on to learn how.

Nosepass used to require leveling up in an electromagnetically charged area to evolve. Needless to say, that was pretty confusing most of the time. Now, all you need to do is use a Thunder Stone on Nosepass for it to evolve into Probopass

Thunder Stones automatically go to your Other Items bag pocket. On the left side of the bag menu screen is a list of your party Pokémon. After selecting the Thunder Stone, all the Pokémon in your party that are compatible with it will have the words “Can use” underneath them with a green background. Select your Nosepass and watch it evolve!

Where to Find Thunder Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Thunder Stones and other special stones tend to be hidden in the desert areas of Paldea, so if you’ve been exploring a lot, you may already have some Thunder Stones lying around. If not, there’s no need to worry, since Paldean stores are well stocked with helpful items. All Delibird Presents stores sell Thunder Stones for 3,000 Poké Dollars once you have three badges

Delibird Presents can be found in Cascarrafa, Levincia, and in Mesagoza. Read our guide on their specific locations, or check out the maps above. While you’re shopping, pick up some extra Thunder Stones and check out our guide on all the other Thunder Stone evolution Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet.
