How to Evolve Electabuzz in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk

Another electric Pokemon to join the party!

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s second DLC, The Indigo Disk, introduces numerous new and old Pokemon, including Electabuzz and its evolution, Electivire. Let’s talk about the process of evolving Electabuzz, including finding the required Electivire item in Indigo Disk and how to use it.

How to Evolve Electabuzz Into Electivire in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Evolving Electabuzz into Electivire requires getting your hands on Electirizer, an item you can buy from the Blueberry Academy school store for 250 BP. Once you purchase the Electirizer, have your Electabuzz hold the item before trading it with someone.

There are multiple ways you can initiate this trade. If you have friends playing the Indigo Disk DLC, you can ask them to help you with the trade. That way, you’ll know you’re trading with someone you trust to return the Pokemon back to you afterward.

Alternatively, you can find someone who is also looking to get Electivire for their Pokedex, allowing you two to exchange Electabuzz Pokemon. Just ensure you’re both trading versions of Electabuzz holding an Electirizer so the evolution works as intended.

How to Find Electirizer in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk

Electirizer is one of many items you can purchase from the Blueberry Academy school store for 250 BP. Alongside items like metal alloy, you can buy as many Electirizers as you’d like, as long as you have the BP to afford it.

You can get more BP by completing Blueberry Quests or BBQs. These quests range from sneaking up on Pokemon to locating Ditto Blocks. You can also finish these solo or with others through the Union Circle.

If you don’t want to spend your hard-earned BP, you can also find Electirizer in The Indigo Disk’s Canyon Biome. You can pick it right up off the ground in a small narrow cave at the base of one of the waterfalls not too far from the eastern Savannah Biome.

If you have access to the Item Printer in the League Club Room, there’s a chance you can obtain Electirizer as a random print. The Item Printer itself costs 200 BP, and once you have it, all you need to do is dump some unwanted Pokemon materials into the printer. The Electirizer has a 0.5% chance of printing during a print job.

Finally, you’ll also obtain Electirizer as a reward for registering 130 Pokemon in your Indigo Disk Blueberry Pokedex. To claim the Electirizer as a Pokedex reward, you just need to open up the Blueberry Pokedex and press the “X” button. Granted, registering 130 Pokemon is no easy task, so it may take a while before you can claim this particular item.
