Have you ever wanted a Dragon Pokemon that looks vaguely like a skyscraper or an Apple Watch? Then you’ll need some Metal Alloy. And fortunately, there are two ways to get it. The easy way, which will cost you a pretty penny, and the hard way, which is free.

The easiest way to get Metal Alloy in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is to simply purchase it. You can do this by going to the Blueberry Academy, and then interacting with the turnstiles near the receptionist. This will open up a school menu where you can select a variety of locales to visit.

Select “School Shop.” There, you’ll find a shopkeeper who offers a wide assortment of wares, from TMs to Poke Balls. But, for our purposes, he also offers rare evolutionary items like Metal Alloy. It will cost you 300 BP, which isn’t so bad in the grand scheme of things.

The free way to get Metal Alloy requires you to plumb the depths of Chargestone Cavern. At least briefly. The fastest way to get into Chargestone Caverns is by entering through the massive cave beside Polar Outdoor Classroom 1.

Once you’re inside the caverns, you actually need to work your way up to the highest point in the cave.

There, you’ll see a Terastallized Porygon. Head towards the large blue crystal near this Porygon, and you’ll find a red Poke Ball that contains the Metal Alloy. It’s well worth the trip, as there’s plenty of interesting Pokemon here to capture, from Elekids to Galvantulas.

Once you have the Metal Alloy, you can head towards Drayton’s arena and The Polar Plaza. The cliff overlooking this plaza hosts a static spawning Duraludon, which you can easily capture to evolve into Archaludon.

Archaludon Stats

Once you have enough metal alloys, you can evolve Duraludon to Archaludon. Here are the stats for Archaludon.
