How to Equip Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4

Potent abilities

The Season of Blood brings new Vampiric Powers to Diablo 4 so that we can all pretend we’re monsters at the spookiest point in the year. However, they need to be unlocked and equipped before you can get going and I can help you easily slot them into your Season 2 character. Here’s how to equip Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4.

How to Unlock Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4

To unlock Vampiric Powers, you need to complete “The Hunter’s Chase” quest in Season 2 of Diablo 4. After you unlock the menu for powers, drag the one you want into the Sanguine Circle. This quest is early into the Season of Blood main story where Hunter Erys attempts to help solve this vampire cult problem that is now plaguing Sanctuary. After you help Erys take out a small swarm of beasts, you will have access to your first power.

In order to finish the quest, you need to equip your first Vampiric Power. It’s called “Undying” and it will heal you with a small percentage every time you cast a skill. But this is just the first of many that exist in Season 2 so you need to get that slotted into the Sanguine Circle as soon as possible.

How to Equip a Vampiric Power in Diablo 4

To equip a Vampiric Power, you need to open up your inventory and then scroll to the tab on the left of your equipment screen. This will open the powers menu, and you can select any that you have unlocked for your Sanguine Circle. Drag the power you want into the Sanguine Circle. There are five slots in the Circle that can theoretically hold at least five powers.

However, the pacts that you use on your armor will dictate which Vampiric Powers can be equipped in Diablo 4. The first power you get can be equipped regardless of your armor stats, so don’t worry at the start. Soon enough, though, you will need to collect as many Pacts as you can to start upgrading your Vampiric Power build.

In the end game section of Season 2, you will need to start truly managing all the Pacts on your armor if you want five active powers at one time. Without some synergy, you’ll be lucky to have a few powers active. But if you start collecting Pacts early on, you should have plenty to rearrange on your armor.
