Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 is one of the most visually stunning and gruesome games, even in PvP mode. Space Marines smash each other with a vengeance, and there’s one more way to exude your dominance over the other – emoting near them to show them who is boss.
In Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2’s free Datavault update, they have added emotes to the game, and here’s how to use them.
How to Use Emotes in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2

To use emotes, you can press and hold “B” to open up the emote wheel and choose which emote to use. There are a total of six emotes in the Datavault update that are unlocked for free. You can choose whichever emote you want by moving your mouse while holding the emote wheel open. Releasing the B key will perform the selected emote.
Whichever emote you used last is now your “quick” emote. You can use the last emote by just tapping B. Pressing B only opens the emote wheel when you hold the button, so it’ll just do a quick emote when you tap it.
If the “B” key is in an awkward position for your hands, you can change it to any button you want, especially if you plan on using it frequently.
Emotes are a good way to communicate something to players, especially when they don’t have microphones or refuse to talk online. You can use emotes to tell others where to go in Operations mode. Others can also use it to indicate that they will use some ability or warcry to rally the team. Most players don’t communicate through voice online and emotes are a way to solve communication issues, especially when playing difficult operations.

Are There More Emotes Coming to Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2?

Adding emotes has been a highly-requested feature since the game’s successful release. You can see the subreddit flooding with demands like “We need emotes” and “We need emotes or actions with voice lines.” Fans got what they were asking for, but 5 months later.
It looks as if the developers are listening, and they even have a detailed roadmap to show what’s in store for the game in 2025. It’s highly likely that more emotes will arrive before long, as the emote system is already in place.
They might even lock some new emotes behind achievements or challenges, giving players something to strive for.
