How to Easily Find Wakestones in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Getting back from the dead has never been easier

Wakestones are an easy way to revive yourself and NPCs in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but they’re quite hard to come by as they’re usually well hidden in certain points of the game. But thanks to a certain rare item, finding them becomes a breeze. Here’s how to easily find Wakestones in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to Find More Wakestones with the Dragon’s Gaze

The Dragon’s Gaze is a special item that marks all Wakestones and Wakestone Fragments currently around you on your map, making locating them a thousand times easier. They are not a common item and can take a while to find, but their practical benefits make them worth the trouble. And sometimes, the “trouble” will only be going slightly out of your way.

You can find an early Dragon’s Gaze on the Velmworth Watchtower. Sneak through the castle’s Guest Chambers and start climbing the stairs, but be careful not to fall on your way to the top. You’ll find a room with a few closed treasure chests on the very last floor. The most valuable one will feature a Dragon’s Gaze completely for free (as long as you weren’t arrested on your way here, of course).

If you completely missed this one, don’t worry. Dragon’s Gaze can also be obtained through many quests around the game such as The Nameless Village. It can be used multiple times, though, so it doesn’t matter how you got it. Just make sure you have one of them in your inventory at all times, regardless of its heavy weight.

All Wakestones in the nearby area will be immediately revealed to you, but be aware that their position might change over time. But you can just use the Gaze’s effect once again whenever that happens, so it’s one of the easiest methods to get the Wakestones in the game. New stones and fragments could also arise after a while, so look out for these.

Three Wakestone Fragments will automatically fuse to form a new complete Wakestone once you get them, which can save you from certain death if you’re bested in combat at any moment. And with the open world being your whole arena, this will definitely be happening more often than not.

So you should grab the Dragon’s Gaze as soon as you can to ensure nothing bad happens to you while adventuring through the world. Just remember to take a while to rest and restock from time to time, especially if you suspect your pawns have somehow obtained the Dragonsplague.
