How to Earn the Spilled Milk Trophy/Achievement in Hogwarts Legacy

"That's called cow tipping. Ha-ha-ha!"

When most people think of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, cow tipping definitely isn’t anywhere near the top of the list of things that come to mind. However, if you plan on earning Hogwarts Legacy’s PlayStation platinum trophy, 1,000 Xbox Gamerscore, or completing the achievement list on Steam, terrorizing the local bovine population surrounding Hogwarts is a necessary evil. So trade your robes and scarves for some boots and spurs, as we take a look at how to tip cows in Hogwarts Legacy. Yeehaw!

How to Obtain Flipendo in Hogwarts Legacy

To obtain the Flipendo spell, you must first complete Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2, which tasks players with simultaneously using the three combat plants (Chinese Chomping Cabbage, Mandrake, and Venomous Tentacula), as well as planting and harvesting Fluxweed. Once you have completed these feats, the Herbology professor will teach your witch or wizard the Flipendo spell, which flips enemies, and more importantly, cows.

Where to Find Cows in Hogwarts Legacy

There are multiple locations where cows can be found, but one place that hosts a large group of cattle is in Brocburrow, a hamlet in Hogwarts Valley, southeast of the school.

Once you have found a cow (which can be identified by aiming at it), equip Flipendo and then cast it.

Once you have unleashed the spell on your unwitting adversary, the cow will be tipped. Thankfully, the creature will not be injured or killed, but will quickly run away from you, which makes it beneficial to find a location with multiple cows to flip, so you don’t have to keep chasing and Flipendo-ing the same one “till the cows come home” (although, it is still doable).

Once you have used Flipendo against one cow (or multiple) at least ten times, you will be awarded with a Steam achievement, a bronze PlayStation trophy, or an Xbox achievement worth ten Gamerscore.
