Lucas Colmenero is one of the main characters Max will interact with in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure. Max doesn’t have the best relationship with him, and he’s suspected of being involved with Safi in one way or another. To get to the bottom of their relationship, Max will have to jump between timelines and somehow break into his briefcase, which contains more information. Here is how you can distract Lucas in Life Is Strange Double Exposure.

Distract Lucas in Life Is Strange Double Exposure

In Chapter Two, Max will interact with Lucas at the cafe inside the Fine Arts Building while being in the “living” timeline. This mostly harmless chat will lead to Lucas getting up, and locking away his briefcase.

After he gets up, switch over to the “Dead” timeline by interacting with the gateway near the windows.

Now, interact with Lucas from the “Dead” timeline and learn about his Standee display. When you’re done with the conversation, head for the cafe counter and grab the marker. It’s placed at the far right edge of the counter.

Since Lucas is facing the other way, you can vandalize his standee. You can choose either form of vandalization, it doesn’t matter.

Head back to Lucas and deliver the bad news about his vandalized standee. This will force him to get up, allowing you to distract him.

When he’s off inspecting the standee, grab the key from the briefcase

Optional: You can take a snapshot of Lucas and his standee to post on Crosstalk

After you have the key, switch back over to the “Living” timeline by interacting with one of the two gateways.

Lucas will still be on his call, and you can use the key to open his briefcase and find out what he’s trying to hide.

That’s all you have to do to distract Lucas in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure. Once distracted, Max can view the contents of his briefcase.

Lucas eventually confronts Max while she’s taking a photograph of the briefcase’s contents which include a restraining order filed against Safi. Lucas explains to Max the context of the restraining order, and players can choose to delete the picture or send Safi the photo.

We’ll let you decide what to do here. While you’re distracting Lucas and helping Gwen, make sure to collect all the photos in Chapter One and Chapter Two of Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
