Tanks are a great trouble to face in Sniper Elite: Resistance, as they can easily one-shot you if you get detected by them. You can ignore the tanks by sneaking past them, but some missions will require you to destroy them. Here is a quick guide on how you can destroy tanks in Sniper Elite: Resistance.

How to Destroy a Tank in Sniper Elite Resistance

You can destroy a tank in Sniper Elite: Resistance by using two methods – either by placing a Satchel Charge on the tank or using Armor Piercing ammo to shoot the weak points, causing it to explode. It all depends on how you want to approach the situation. If you are close to the tank, then you can place a Satchel Charge, or you can keep your distance and blow it up using your sniper rifle.

If you have a Satchel Charge on you, you can place it in between the exhausts on the back of the tank. A prompt will appear when you get close to the tank to put a Satchel Charge on it. Simply press the prompted button to place the Satchel Charge, light the fuse, and get behind the cover.

You can then wait for the Satchel Charge to explode and expose the interior of the tank. Shoot the exposed engine afterward to destroy the tank, or wait for it to explode on its own.

Moreover, you can place a Satchel Charge without lighting the fuse and shoot it from a distance to explode the tank. This works best when you want to strategize your plays and avoid being detected.

If you don’t want to get near the menacing tanks, then you can use Armor-Piercing rounds to destroy the tank. You will find Armor Piercing ammo inside bunkers or on tables and can switch between the ammunition types when required.

Once you have the Armor-Piercing rounds and you face the back of the tank from a distance, aim between the two exhausts. You can also use Focus Mode to highlight the weak area of the tank, and it will glow red. Shoot at the highlighted area once to crack the armor, and shoot again to break the exterior armor.

You will now be able to see the engine from the back. Land a final shot at the engine to burst the tank into flames, causing it to explode after some time.
