Poison is one of the few negative status effects that can inflict harm to the Destined One in Black Myth: Wukong. Multiple enemies in the game have attacks that cause poison build-up, and you’ll run into a few as early as the first chapter. Thankfully, getting rid of this effect is fairly simple, and here is how you can cure poison in Black Myth: Wukong.

Cure the Poison Effect in Black Myth Wukong

To cure poison in Black Myth: Wukong, players must use the Antimiasma Powder, which instantly removes the poisoned status and increases poison resistance for a short duration.

Early on, this item is found around the world as you explore and can also be purchased at the Keeper’s Shrine. Once you unlock the ability to craft medicines by completing the Xu Dog’s quest in Chapter 2, you will be able to craft Antimiasma Powder with one Tree Pearl and one Jade Lotus.

Once you have the Antimiasma Powder in your inventory, it will automatically be added to your on-hand items. So, hold R2/RT/Q to access it and use the item. You can also just use it from your inventory if you want.

The Destined One isn’t poisoned instantly, but similar to the Dark Souls series, it’s a status effect that builds up when you’re attacked with a poison attack. You’ll want to look out for the following meter in the bottom right side of the screen to keep track of the poison effect:

Once poisoned, the Destined One will slowly lose health and have a very visible green aura around him. Additionally, the health bar will also have a green tint indicating the poison status in effect.

That’s not all you’ll run into in Chapter 1 of Black Myth: Wukong, and we highly recommend ringing all three bells to unlock a secret surprise.
