We’ve received another cryptic message from the War Table at the H.E.L.M. and you know what that means! A new quest. Let’s jump right into it. Here’s how to complete Vexcalibur: Expert Authorization Override in Destiny 2.
How to Complete Vexcalibur: Expert Authorization Override in Destiny 2
Vexcalibur will see a variety of weekly quests this season, so let’s jump right into part two: Vexcalibur: Expert Authorization Override.
Step 1. Defeat Vex
Rapidly defeat Vex with Vexcalibur equipped to assimilate their network protocols and acquire the Expert Authorization Override mod.

For this step, one of the better options is to go to Neomuna and head right into the Terminal Overload Public Event “playlist.” You can get to this by selecting the white diamond on the Neomuna map. Not only will this quest guarantee Vex during several stages of the Overload event, but you’ll also be able to complete Quinn’s weekly bounty as well.
Another good option is to head into the Thrilladome Lost Sector in Liming Harbor. Just remember to leave before jumping through the portal that takes you to the boss room. It’s more efficient to grind out the first few arcade rooms and then restart.
You don’t need to kill that many Vex, so either way, it’s an easy task.
Step 2. Equip the Authorization Override Mod
Equip the Expert Authoirzation mod to Vexcalibur.

Upon completing step 1, a mod will drop. Inspect Vexcalibur and equip the mod, replacing the mod you used last quest.
Step 3. Unravel the Mystery
Unravel one of the mysteries of //node.ovrd.AVALON//, then defeat Brakion to further diminish its power.

Like the exotic mission in Seraph Station, this exotic quest has its fair share of mysteries. And for week two of the Season of Defiance that mystery involves a secret chest. Here’s how to get it.
Once you’ve entered the Vex river, you’ll need to turn right as normal.
But once you slide down, stop! From the base of the slide, look up. There’s a ledge that you can jump to, right before you reach the ring that will lead you to the rest of the dungeon.
Interact with the green symbol and you’ll get “aberrant form access authorized”. We’ll now need to find the green square to interact with next. Jump down off the ledge and enter the room where the ring is. Across from you, you’ll see a Hobgoblin stuck behind a Vex barrier. Jump to the platform in front of it and turn around.
On the archway above the door, you’ll see a green cube. Grab it and the Vex barrier will fall. A chest will then spawn. Claim the chest and that’s mystery solved! And no, it’s not farmable.

Continue the mission as normal and you’ll complete this step.
Step 4. Return to the H.E.L.M.
Return to the War Table to receive an incoming transmission.

Approach the War Table. It looks like now we have authorization to enter the “true depths” of the Vex Network. Next week will likely even more puzzles and mysteries to solve. Claim the Defiant Weapon engram and the quest will end.
