So, you’ve put a few dozen bullets into a Lucent Hive and Fynch has handed you a new quest: Memory Alembic. Completing it can prove to be tricky, so here’s everything you need to know to complete the Memory Alembic Quest in Destiny 2.
How to Complete the Memory Alembic Quest in Destiny 2
First things first. We’re going to need to get our hands on more of that brain juice and distilled nightmare sauce called Qualichor. And to do that? We’re going to need to kill Lucent Brood Executioners and groups of Lucent High Inquisitors. This is a feat that’s made more difficult by the fact that you can only kill one Lucent Brood Executioner per day, per account. And Lucent High Inquisitors? Are tied to Public Events.
Both Lucent Brood Executioners and Lucent High Inquisitors have specific locations they can spawn. But it’s random when they spawn at these locations. And those locations change each day. These possible locations are:
Lucent Brood Executioner Locations in Destiny 2
The Deepsight Orb that will reveal the Scorn body and the goo trail you’ll need to follow will be in the following areas:
- Quagmire: The Deepsight will appear on the trail headed towards the Alluring Curtain
- Fluorescent Canal: The Deepsight will appear on the trail headed towards the Queen’s Bailey
- Miasma: The Deepsight will appear on the trail headed towards Witch’s Echo
Lucent High Inquisitor Locations in Destiny 2
Inquisitors are a little more elusive, as they’re tied to a random event called The Executioner’s Hoard. You’ll see a notification on the left side of your screen that says, “Lucent Hive Inquisitors in your Sector”. When that message appears, search the area until you see Lucent Hive with a white glow. Kill them, and you’ll get a new message: “Lucent Hive Inquisitors eliminated: commander incoming.”
A powerful yellow-bar enemy will spawn. Kill it, and more Lucent Hive Inquisitors will spawn. There will be three total waves, though you might have to explore the area to figure out where each wave appears. Once you’ve defeated the last wave, you’ll get a final message: “Lucent Hive Lightbearers arriving: exercise extreme caution.” Defeat these Lucent Hive Lightbearers and a chest will spawn that will produce a Qualichor.

By defeating one Lucent Executioner and a few Lucent Inquisitors, you’ll get 25% progress. That means you’ll likely finish this quest in four days. Good luck!
