How to Complete Prey for the Pack in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The moon lights the way.

When you reach the Checkpoint Rest Town in Dragon’s Dogma 2, one of the first quests you will run into is Prey for the Pack. Morris informs you that Rodge has gone missing and this guide is here to help you get him back to the village.

After speaking to Morris, chat with the villagers near the entrance and start following the Moonglow flowers that go east. Eventually, all of those flowers will lead you to the Putrid Cave. It seems like a standard mine at first, but it leads to a small forest clearing where Rodge is being circled by wolves on the other side. Take down all the immediate threats in the area and then speak to Rodge. He’ll be thankful for your help and you can head back to Morris for the reward.

Prey for the Pack Quest Steps:

  • Speak to Morris in the Checkpoint Rest Town.
  • Speak to the villagers near the main entrance about Rodge.
  • Follow the Moonglow flower path that leads to the east.
  • Enter the Putrid Cave and save Rodge from wolves.

Before you head out on your trip, though, I can’t stress enough how important the Moonglow flowers are in searching for the boy. I spent more time than I would like to admit finding Rodge because one of my Pawns insisted they knew the way and they would lead me in loops around that area to the east of the Checkpoint Rest Town. As long as you keep following the Moonglow flowers, it will be impossible to get lost. They are the only ones that grow in that specific area, which means it’s an obvious path.

In my Dragon’s Dogma 2 playthrough, I had some issues completing Prey for the Pack. Even though all the objectives were done, Morris wouldn’t give me my final dialogue and the quest remained. To avoid this, I recommend staying close to Rodge as you make your way back to the Checkpoint Rest Town. With any luck, the quest can be completed.

While you’re in town, don’t forget to pick up the Jadeite Orb for future quests.
