How to Complete Grenadier in Escape From Tarkov

A grenade a day keeps the Scavs away!

You’ll find that most of the side quests in EFT fall under one of two categories: either you hunt down and kill Scavs/PMCs, or you track down and return items. For the former, here’s how to complete Grenadier in Escape From Tarkov without putting yourself at risk.

How to Finish Grenadier in Escape From Tarkov

First and foremost, let’s get this out of the way. Grenadier is one of the more straightforward quests in Escape From Tarkov. Your primary goal is to kill eight PMC operatives using nothing but grenades. With the right explosives, you’ll shred through any type of armor. But the key to completing Grenadier is to finish the job without putting yourself at risk. That way, you can still loot the map before extracting.

As such, I recommend working to complete Grenadier on Factory or Customs. I know, I know! Factory is one of the least recommended maps for using explosives, at least so far as most within the community are concerned. I disagree, however. Despite its close-quarters nature, a single grenade thrown properly can wipe out a small group. Yes, you’re more at risk due to how confined the entire map is, but it’s a high-risk and high-reward tactic.

If you’d rather not go out in an explosion of glory, then Customs. It’s a bit more open but still relatively condensed, especially when you compare it to Woods or Shoreline. Furthermore, there are enough chokepoints and buildings for PMCs to use as cover, which provides you with the perfect opportunity to lob a grenade.

Where to Get Grenades in Escape From Tarkov

Escape From Tarkov features numerous grenade types, most of which count toward the Grenadier quest. You can use:

  • F-1 Grenades
  • M67 Grenades
  • RGD-5 Grenades
  • RGN Grenades
  • RGO Grenades

You’re most likely to acquire and use F-1 Grenades, however. So, let’s focus on those for the time being. You can get your hands on F-1 Grenades at Prapor LL2. By the time you start Grenadier, around level 20, you should have Prapor’s reputation leveled enough to unlock explosives. He’ll want a single ES Lamp for a F-1 Hand Grenade, though; he won’t take cash.

Alternatively, you can find grenades in a raid by searching military crates, looting Scavs and PMCs, and occasionally picking one up from weapon boxes.

Quest Rewards for Grenadier

For finishing Grenadier, you’ll receive the following rewards:

  • 18,000 EXP
  • Prapor Rep +0.02
  • 75,000 Rubles
  • 100x 12.7x55mm PS12B
  • 5x F-1 Hand Grenades
  • 5x VOG-17 Khattabka Improvised Hand Grenades
  • 5x VOG-25 Khattabka Improvised Hand Grenades
  • 2x RGN Hand Grenades

Furthermore, you’ll unlock the ability to craft VOG-17 Khattabka Improsived Hand Grenades at your Workbench Level 2 back at your Safe House.

The grenades you receive as a reward can certainly help you overcome other challenges, such as defeating Kollontay on Streets of Tarkov.
