How to Complete Convalescence: Rootbound in Destiny 2

The turning point in the Destiny 2: The Final Shape campaign has players finding three lost Ghosts, starting with the Convalescence: Rootbound mission. Here is how to complete Convalescence: Rootbound in Destiny 2.

How to Find Convalescence: Rootbound Ghost in Destiny 2

The first lost Ghost is marked on the map south of the Landing area, but not visible on the supposed playable area. Add the mission as the waypoint and it will point you in the direction you will need to go.

The Ghost is actually in the Forgotten Deep Lost Sector, which players have already gone through in the campaign. Just complete the Lost Sector by collecting various green gusts of wind and breaking crystal shields until you get to the final boss room.

The boss room will be empty when finding the Ghost, so do not collect any green gusts of wind or it will activate the boss. Players will see a giant tree upon entering the room next to a gust of wind, which is where the Ghost will be.

The lost Ghost can be found on the right-hand side of the giant tree within the Forgotten Deep boss room. Players can then safely warp back to the Lost City, or activate the boss and complete the Lost Sector as an added bonus.

How to Complete Convalescence: Rootbound in Destiny 2

The mission is not over yet, so players will have to warp back to the Lost City and speak with Ghost. It will then send you to speak with Micah’s Conduit down the stairs.

The waypoint will take you down the stairs into an overgrown area with a floating Ghost waiting to be activated. Interact with the lost Ghost for Micah’s Conduit to call you over.

Interact with the machine in the same room to receive the Someday shotgun and the Convalescence: Underbrush mission to find the second lost Ghost.
