Shiny Mega Gardevoir

Shiny debuts seem to be one of the largest themes for the Valentine’s Day 2023 event in Pokemon GO, and the crown jewel of them all is a shiny Mega Gardevoir. From February 8 to February 14, which is Valentine’s Day itself, Trainers can battle against the Mega Psychic and Fairy-type.

As we all know, many of the shiny forms in Pokemon GO or the franchise, in general, are lackluster. It really goes on a case-by-case basis. However, shiny Mega Gardevoir appears to be wearing a black dress, which makes it a stark contrast to the normal colors. Our guide will assist you in catching one for yourself to make your collection even more impressive.

Pokemon GO – How to Catch Shiny Mega Gardevoir

In Pokemon GO, there is technically no way to “catch” a shiny mega, and that’s only due to the way that the game works. You can still certainly get a shiny Mega Gardevoir, and there are two different methods. One way is to look for a shiny Kirlia, which is the first form of the Pokemon. Finding a shiny variant in the wild is a 1 in 500 chance, so it won’t be easy.

The other method is to take on Mega Gardevoir in a raid. Each time you win one of these raids, you are given a reward encounter with the normal form of Gardevoir. Because these are raids, these encounters have a chance to be shiny. To make matters even better, raid encounters typically have a 1 in 30 chance of appearing as shiny.

Keep in mind, though, that you’ll need a raid pass every time you attempt one of these. You get one free raid pass per day and it must be used in person. Trainers can always purchase Remote Raid Passes and invite friends or utilize an online raid finder. This will be a bit more expensive but will give you better odds of a shiny Mega Gardevoir in Pokemon GO.
