Breeding your monsters in My Singing Monsters can be a valuable way to expand your clan of beasties, but the process can be pretty daunting if you haven’t done it before. Breeding monsters requires some specific conditions, and for the Grumpyre in particular, you will need to work extra hard in order to breed one. There are a few steps to follow before you can add these winged wonders to your collection, and we’ve pulled together everything you need to know to make the process even smoother.
Can You Breed Grumpyre in My Singing Monsters?
Firstly, it’s important to note that you will need a Deedge before you start the breeding process for a Grumpyre. If you don’t have one already, it’s best to breed Thumpies and Toe Jammer, alongside being level 9, and then hatch the egg before you start the breeding process again. Once you have the Deedge, you’ll need another three-element monster. There are no restrictions on which monster this should be, so any you have available should do the trick. Instead, the specific requirements are restricted to which islands you can breed Grumpyre on.
Grumpyre can only be bred on Cold Island and Ethereal Island, so you’ll need to visit the breeding structure on either of them with your Deege and three-element monster to begin the process. Depending on which island you go to, the incubation time will differ. For Cold Island, it’ll take 36 hours, whereas it’ll take 10 hours on Ethereal Island. Unfortunately, you aren’t guaranteed to get a Grumpyre straight away, but the more you attempt the more likely you are to hatch one. After 70 attempts, your chances of hatching one are increased by 50%, so you just have to stick with it.
