How to Beat Neurothrope in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2

Get down here you little worm.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has several bosses with unique fight mechanics. However, some of them let others do the fighting for them like the Neurothrope boss near the middle of the campaign. The Neurothrope floats around and unleashes random lasers and projectiles while you are dealing with a never-ending Tyranid swarm. Things can get overwhelming pretty quickly, and here’s how to beat this Neurothrope boss in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 easily.

How to Defeat the Neurothrope in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2

As mentioned before, Neurothrope is a flying Tyranid boss that keeps on calling a swarm of enemies to attack your party. You’ll need a great mid to long-range weapon for the fight. SMGs with high fire rates could also work, but it’ll be better to have a more flexible weapon. For your melee weapon, it would be best to use a sword (Power Sword or Chainsword) for the added cleave radius with decent speed.

If you are playing the campaign solo, you’ll have to carry Gadriel and Chairon because their AI isn’t exactly great. They kill Tyranids extremely slowly, and you’ll struggle to do consistent damage to the Neurothrope. However, if you get downed, they’ll stop whatever they are doing and help you up.

As for Neurothrope’s dangerous attacks, it has an attack that emits area-wide damage to everyone. Go to the farthest corner and try to deal with the other enemies until the boss stops. You can also go near it (inside the green circle) and damage the boss. You can also “frame dodge” the attack by dodging the attack as soon as the wave is going to hit you

Neurothrope also has an attack that unleashes a beam under it, dealing massive damage to anyone staying under the wave or beam. Just stay away from the boss, and this should be a free window to open fire on the boss, as long as the swarm is constantly dealt with.

The boss also fires random projectiles at random targets, but you’ll see this one coming as a red circle notification shows up, signaling you to dodge an incoming heavy attack. It is best to always keep an eye on the boss, even when dealing with the swarm.

There is also one healing spawn, grenades, and ammo spawns scattered around the edges of the room. You can use the grenades to deal with the swarm when things start to get hectic. You can also use your Fury ability to heal and kill the Tyranid swarm faster because there’s a lot of outgoing damage in this fight. Once you deal enough damage to Neurothrope, it’ll go down to the ground, and you can start executing it.
