Travel around the world

One of the most common tasks in a BitLife challenge is to be born in a specific country, city or state. From living in Ireland to being born in Japan, you’ll find various options as you explore various challenges! Many of them also ask you to start in specific US states and cities, with Illinois being one of many recent examples during the Around the Block challenge. When you create a new character in BitLife, choose the United States as your starting country to view a list of US cities in the Place category. You won’t find “Illinois” here, so instead, pick Chicago as your starting place. Chicago is the most populous city in Illinois, making it a viable option if you need to live here for a challenge.

The picture below shows an example of me creating a female character in Chicago. Since I was trying to complete BitLife’s Around the Block Challenge, I immediately finished the first task without any problems!

BitLife United States and Chicago Options

This strategy works for other US states too! If you want to start in Colorado, choose a city like Denver. Similarly, if challenges ask you to be born in Pennsylvania, pick Scranton or Philadelphia! Take note of this when you need to be born in this specific state for a new challenge such as the Tortured Artist, for example.

When I first started playing BitLife, I used to enter US states as custom places during challenges rather than choosing these cities. Interestingly enough, it did work sometimes, but I wouldn’t recommend using this strategy unless you want to experiment for fun.
