How to Apply Trinkets in Warhammer 40K: Darktide

Surprisingly not like trinkets from Vermintide.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide features plenty of ways to customize your character and loadout, more so than Fatshark’s previous game Vermintide 2. You can change everything from your Upper Body, Lower Body, Accessories, and more! These cosmetics are earned in a variety of ways, but one way to earn them is through completing penances, and one such reward from them is Trinkets. As for how you equip them onto your weapons, that’s where the confusion comes in. Here’s how to apply trinkets to your weapons in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

Where to Put Trinkets on Your Weapon in Darktide

As mentioned above, you will have first unlocked trinkets when completing particular penances in Darktide. Completing them may reward you with trinkets in your inventory, but how you equip them is another story entirely. While the game has an entire menu devoted to Cosmetics, you won’t find trinkets here, nor will there be options for weapon cosmetics at all.

Instead, you’ll want to click on the weapon you want to apply the trinket to in your Loadout. This opens the weapon selection screen as normal, though you don’t want to select a weapon. Instead, you want to click on one and press C by default (check the Appearance button in the bottom right if that doesn’t work for you). This will open up the Appearance window where, by default, you can select a weapon skin. At the top of the list are two symbols of a weapon and a trinket. Click the trinket, and you’ll be able to select whichever trinket you want from the menu.

Once you select the trinket, it’ll appear on your weapon when entering the game or entering the Meat Grinder. It acts as a charm similar to other modern games, so it’s a nice way to spruce up your weapon. Have fun flicking it around too, as is the ritual when applying a weapon charm.
