How Long Do Legendary Pokemon Take to Respawn in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet? – Answered

How long do you need to wait for them to come back?

No matter if you accidentally overpower a Legendary Pokemon, or defeat them because you have too many monsters in your boxes, you may be waiting for your new favorite creature to come back. How long does it take for them to return to their spot in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

How Long Do Legendary Pokemon Take to Respawn?

As I discovered this morning after accidentally taking down Gouging Fire with all of my boxes full, Legendary Pokemon take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes to respawn back in their original space. This is in real-world time, compared to in-game time, so check back at their initial spawn point to see if your Legendary has come back.

If you’ve waited and they still haven’t returned, save your game and restart it, and they should reappear. While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are very fun games, they’re definitely not bug-proof, even if they’re in slightly better shape than they were when they were initially released.

At this point in the game, you may have brought too many overpowered Pokemon with you to cause more than enough damage to these creatures. While they’re all Legendary, they’re usually around Level 75, so make sure that you plan accordingly before trying to hunt down creatures like Gorging Fire or Groudon, as powerful Pokemon can easily still one-shot them. It’s happened to me far more often than I’d like to admit at this point.
