How to Level Up Fast in Destiny 2

by Josh Hawkins

Like the previous entry in the series, Destiny 2 requires players to level up and start unlocking new gear and weapons with higher power in order to increase their character’s overall power in the game. If you want to start diving into the end game material in Destiny 2, then you’re going to have to learn how to level up quickly, and make sure you continue leveling up your characters in the game. In this article we’ll show you everything you need to know to reach max level fast in Destiny 2, including some of the best ways to grind out that experience and get started.

How to Reach Max Level Fast

If you’re looking for ways to earn experience in Destiny 2, then you won’t be disappointed as there are quite a few different ways to fill up your experience bar and start leveling up. No matter what Guardian class you’re playing, or what activity you’re doing, there is always going to be plenty of ways to maximize your leveling experience, and make sure you’re always progressing forward.

If you really want to earn experience quickly early on, then the best way to is knock out the opening campaign missions, as these will earn you quite a bit of experience along the way. Now, as you move forward, things may slow down a bit, which is when you’ll want to start looking into completing Crucible matches, Strikes, or even clearing out uncharted zones in the game world. No matter what you’re doing, being able to earn experience along the way is going to make the leveling grind much easier. If you really want to maximize your level growth potential, then completing the main storyline is absolutely the best way to do that.

How to Hit Max Power Fast

Now, once you hit level 20—the max level—as a Guardian, it’s time to shift your focus to leveling up your Power Level—which is basically your Light Level from Destiny 1. When this happens, the best way to progress is going to be to continue doing what you were doing before. Every activity, mission, Strike, Nightfall, and Crucible match has a chance to drop new items for you, which will most often be items of greater Power than what you currently have. This will allow you to focus on playing the game, while also progressing forward to make sure you are ready for additional missions and adventures.

Now that you know how to hit max level and max Power fast, it’s time to dive back into the world of Destiny 2 and start grinding to your heart’s content.
